Letterpress was developed in the 15th Century and was a predominant printing process until the 1980s. It is a form of relief printing using hand set movable type, usually of metal or wood.
I practice traditional letterpress which involves composing movable type – cast metal letters – by hand. This type is then placed in a press, inked, and an impression made on paper.
